As a single mother, it is so inspiring to hear other women who have their own journeys and are giving me encouraging feedback to help me on my journey.
After two thousand years, and it was over in 30 minutes.
My husband and I moved back to Israel three years ago (we met here over 30 years ago), Yakov made Aliyah right away, but because I was traveling so much for Momentum, I was having a harder time. And since I was American and Canadian, I had to do FBI and RCMP background checks– and during Covid times, this was not simple.
Just when I thought I had all my papers in order, they said if I had traveled after being fingerprinted for the federal checks, I might have committed a new crime, so the checks would have to be repeated (!)
All of these checks and documents take time and money, and I was at my wit’s end.
And…then…last week, in the middle of having over 200 women here on Momentum and Momentum Grand, I got the word that if I could be in Tel Aviv very early the next morning, it would happen.
So Yakov and I got up early, took the light rail to the train to Tel Aviv, went to the Ministry of Immigration and Absorption, and sat down in front of the clerk who was expecting us.
At one point, when he was going over the documents, I got anxious, and he reassured me, “Do not worry, you will leave here an Israeli citizen.” And, sure enough, 30 minutes later, it was all signed, sealed, stamped, and completed.

For two thousand years, we yearned, prayed, and dreamed….and at last, I am blessed to live the dream.
