FAQ

About the Fellowship

What is the Momentum Fellowship about?

The Momentum Leadership Development Fellowship is a transformative leadership experience for Israeli women who are ready to strengthen their leadership within Israeli society, deepen their connection to Jewish peoplehood, and enhance their teams impact. Through an intensive three-day Summit and post-Summit coaching, participants gain practical leadership tools, meaningful relationships, and the support to lead across difference while building bridges between people, sectors and joint action.

Why is this Fellowship especially relevant now?

Israeli society and the Jewish world are navigating a time of unprecedented challenge and opportunity. The Fellowship equips women leaders with the relationships, skills, and support to strengthen trust, build bridges across differences, and lead with courage and shared responsibility—both within Israel and across the global Jewish community.

Who can attend the Momentum Fellowship Summit?

The Fellowship is designed for Israeli women who are already making a difference through activism and are ready to expand their leadership.

Participants may include women who are connected to:

  • Community organizations or initiatives
  • Municipalities and local leadership
  • Social change in Israeli society
  • Israel–Diaspora relations
  • Momentum alumni and graduates of other leadership programs looking for their next leadership opportunity
  • Participants may be established or emerging leaders. Formal titles are not required – what matters is commitment, influence, and a desire to create meaningful impact.

How is this program unique compared to other leadership programs?

The Momentum Leadership Development Fellowship offers a distinctive leadership experience for Israeli women who are ready to strengthen their leadership, deepen their understanding of world Jewry, create meaningful impact through activism, and execute a team project.

What makes the Fellowship unique is that it:

  • Strengthens participants’ understanding of Jewish peoplehood and their role in fostering meaningful relationships between Israel and Jewish communities worldwide.
  • Equips women to lead across differences through Momentum’s philosophy of Unity Without Uniformity, fostering empathy, collaboration, and shared responsibility.
  • Brings women together in cohort-based teams, strengthening both individual leadership and the collective ability to create lasting impact.
  • Combines Jewish heritage with practical leadership tools, coaching, and action-oriented learning that empowers participants to turn ideas into meaningful action.

More than a leadership program, the Momentum Fellowship empowers Israeli women to lead with purpose, strengthen connections between Israel and the World Jewry, and help shape a more connected and resilient Jewish future.

Cost and Registration

How much does the Fellowship cost?

The Momentum Fellowship is generously subsidized to make it accessible for emerging leaders which includes:

  • A 3-day, in-person Summit experience
  • Double occupancy hotel accommodations (single supplements available)
  • All meals during the Summit
  • Ongoing Fellowship Next membership and support
  • While the full value of the program is $2,399, Momentum covers the majority of the cost to ensure affordability and access.
  • For questions or special accommodations, feel free to reach out at MomentumFellowship@MomentumUnlimited.org.

Are subsidies available for individuals?

The Momentum Fellowship is already generously subsidized, reducing the full program value of $2,399. While we are not able to offer additional individual subsidies at this time, we encourage registrants to explore support from their local organizations, federations, or community partners. If cost is a concern, please don’t hesitate to reach out — we’re happy to discuss options and support your participation however we can. Contact us at MomentumFellowship@MomentumUnlimited.org.

What is the registration process?

Registration is a simple, one-step process. You’ll complete the registration form and submit your payment at the same time. Once your registration is confirmed, you will receive three emails:

  • A registration confirmation email highlighting important information about the Summit
  • A payment confirmation
  • A Zoom confirmation with the link to join the Momentum Fellowship Informational Meeting

If you have any questions during the process, feel free to reach out to us at MomentumFellowship@MomentumUnlimited.org.

Is there a cutoff date to register for the Fellowship

Yes. Registration closes 30 days before the Summit to allow time for final preparations, including accommodations and program planning. We recommend applying early, as spots are limited and spots fill quickly!

For exact dates or questions about availability, feel free to reach out to us at MomentumFellowship@MomentumUnlimited.org.

What if I need to cancel?

Delivering the Program requires Momentum to make numerous irreversible spending decisions in advance. Your enrollment holds a space that may prevent others from joining. If you cancel within 30 days of the Summit, no refund will be issued. If you cancel more than 30 days before the Summit, you will receive a refund less the $100 registration fee.

If you need to cancel or have questions, please contact us at MomentumFellowship@MomentumUnlimited.org.

If I sleep at home and not at the hotel, will the conference fee be reduced?

We’re glad you’re local! However, the conference fee remains the same regardless of whether or not you stay at the hotel. The fee covers the full Summit experience, including meals, programming, materials, and participation in all sessions — and is already heavily subsidized. While you’re welcome to sleep at home, we encourage staying on-site if possible to maximize connection and community-building

Who should attend?

I’ve never been to a leadership conference before. Is the content relevant to me?

Yes — absolutely! Whether you’re new to leadership or already in a lay leadership role, the Momentum Fellowship Summit is designed to meet you where you are. Our sessions are grounded in personal reflection, skill-building, and community connection, making the content accessible and meaningful for participants at all experience levels. You don’t need a formal title or years of experience — just a passion for making a difference and a willingness to grow. This summit is about discovering your voice, connecting with others, and leaving with the tools and confidence to lead with purpose in your own unique way.

I’m a seasoned lay leader. Is this content relevant to me?

Yes — and we’re so glad you’re here. The Momentum Fellowship Summit is designed to offer depth and renewal for leaders at every stage of their journey. As a seasoned lay leader, you’ll have the opportunity to reflect on your leadership from a fresh perspective, connect with fellow changemakers, and explore new tools and frameworks that can elevate your impact. The summit isn’t just about learning new skills — it’s about re-centering your purpose, reigniting your passion, and expanding your vision for what’s possible in your community. Your experience is not only relevant — it’s invaluable.

Can multiple people attend from one organization?

Yes! We welcome and encourage multiple participants from the same organization. In fact, attending as a small cohort can strengthen your shared vision, deepen collaboration, and help you implement what you learn more effectively in your community. Momentum accepts communal cohorts of 2–10 people, so feel free to register together and grow together!

Can I participate in the Fellowship more than once?

Cohort Leaders may lead the Fellowship again with a new group. Because their role is specialized and essential to supporting new participants, Cohort Leaders are eligible to repeat the Fellowship experience each time they guide a new cohort.

For regular participants, the Fellowship is a one-time investment. Momentum is a non-profit that raises funds to invest and strengthen communities. In our approach, we wish to be able to offer these opportunities to as many women leaders wanting to join. Hence, Alumni are encouraged to stay engaged through Fellowship NEXT and other Momentum community events, but the core Fellowship is designed to be experienced only once per person.
