“If they can’t go to Israel, we’ll bring Israel to them!” said Momentum Founding Director Lori Palatnik – and with the launch of Momentum Retreats, that’s exactly what we did.
More than 230 attendees have already joined us in Maryland, Florida, Israel, and Connecticut. Our local retreat for our Momentum community in Israel sold out in 10 minutes, with 80 women on the waiting list!
Participants arrived ready to laugh, learn, and heal after a difficult year. We were all smiles as we reconnected, revisited our favorite MOMentum Trip memories, and prepared to create beautiful new ones, alongside Momentum Educators Lori Palatnik, Ruchi Koval, Ianna Raim, and Eve Levy.
Over three days, in classes on Jewish wisdom, the women explored spirituality, authenticity, gratitude, leadership, and generosity. They designed and decorated tambourines, and then embraced their inner Miriam during outdoor dance parties. The women enjoyed yoga, happy hours, ate delicious and nourishing food – and best of all, everyone de-stressed and left reenergized.
The Momentum Retreat was a very special experience. It was the most connected I’ve felt since I visited Israel 18 months ago. It was nice to see and be with my sisters while there. So many brilliant and successful women – I’m so glad I’m Jewish!”
At Driving to Greatness, the MoMENtum Men’s Retreat in Orlando, FL, a fantastic group of MoMENtum men got real about their lives and potential – and put themselves in the driver’s seat. The men dove into Jewish texts over incredible meals and some whiskey, too. Momentum Men’s Chair Charley Harary and Momentum Educators Harry Rothenberg, and Ari Shabat they dove into the meaningful work of pushing through challenges to grow and live lives full of meaning and connection to self and family, to God, and to the Jewish People. It was an awesome way to decompress from the stress of the past 15 months.
“Fantastic job on pulling this together in a meaningful and powerful way. I appreciate the opportunity to do this especially after the isolation of the pandemic.”
