November 15-22, 2021
(Nominations are now closed)
This unique 8-day and 7-night experience will focus on healing souls, connecting with peers, and drawing inspiration from Jewish wisdom and modern-day Israel. It will feature Momentum’s signature educational programming, led by world-class speakers and Israeli thought leaders, as well as exclusive programming developed especially with healthcare workers in mind. Your health and safety are our top priorities. This trip will be adjusted to meet COVID-19 regulations.
Mifgashim (encounters) with Israeli mothers in the healthcare field will be at the heart of our experience. A select group of Israeli women will join our group, sharing their stories and strengthening the connection between Israel and the Diaspora. Upon their return from Israel, participants will continue their year-long journey at home, taking part in a post-trip learning program.
Frequently Asked Questions
Who is MOMentum Year-Long Journey for Healthcare Heroes intended for?
Healthcare Heroes, nominated by their communities/family members or themselves. Healthcare heroes mean: doctors, nurses, paramedics, EMTs (emergency management

All participants must have children ages 21 years and under. This trip is designed for Healthcare Hero moms who are not highly engaged in the Jewish community or Jewish ritual observance.
What can I expect from participating in the MOMentum Year-Long Journey for Healthcare Heroes?
The MOMentum Year-Long Journey is designed for women who are less engaged in Jewish communal life and ritual observance. You can expect to experience a transformative process of Jewish learning and growth, with pre and post-trip online learning sessions and a trip to Israel taking place from November 15-22, 2021, together with a select group of mothers who work in the healthcare field from the U.S and Canada. Israeli mothers from Healthcare would join the group for 8 days of the trip, serving as a living bridge between Israel and Jewish Diaspora.
Beyond the trip, what are the pre and post trip commitments?
Every woman who participates in the trip must commit to joining educational sessions, designed especially for participants of the trip:
November 2021: 2 pre-trip online sessions
November 15-22, 2021: Israel trip
December – November 2022: 12 online learning sessions, 1 hour each, led by Momentum educators and Community Leaders.
The sessions will be held virtually to accommodate everyone in their current locations and time zones.
Who can nominate me? Can I nominate myself?
Anyone who recognizes you as an outstanding professional and person can nominate you for the trip! Nominations can come from both Jewish and non-Jewish organizations, (i.e. community centers, volunteer organizations, healthcare organizations, etc).
Your family members and friends can nominate you, too. Lastly, we ascribe to the words of Rabbi Hillel, “If I am not for myself, who will be for me?” That means you can nominate yourself!
