Dear Momentum Family—
People ask me if I am happy living here in Israel, and the answer is: YES!
There is a myriad of reasons, and one is that there is just so much life here! The other night, after attending and speaking at a JAFI (Jewish Agency for Israel) conference at the Inbal hotel, I went out for dinner with my husband and a Momentum colleague at First Station, the beautifully renovated train station near the German Colony in Jerusalem.
I immediately ran into an old friend from Toronto, her kids, and the newly married daughter of mutual friends also from Toronto. During dinner, the principal of a Maryland Day School came over to chat. After we left, a woman seated outside and the restaurant next door shouted my name and told me that she is a Momentum sister returning with her whole family (see video below)
There was music in the square outside the restaurant and about 80 Israelis doing folk dancing. All of this a short walk from where we now live.
The Jerusalem Light Festival has begun, so music and lights can be heard and seen from The Old City each night until July 4th.
And…a Momentum sister from one of our earlier trips just made Aliyah this week with her husband and five children!! Such a pleasure to be here to welcome them in person. May their transition be smooth, and their life here be filled with abundant blessings.
So much…life! L’Chaim!
From Jerusalem, Good Shabbos, Shabbat Shalom!
