Dear Momentum Family—
I once met someone in Israel whose family is the lead manufacturer of doors in Israel. I told him that he is manufacturing the most important part of the home, and taught him the American expression, “You can’t make a second first impression.” And when it is a Jewish home, right beside each of his doors is a mezuzah, blessing the home, and all who dwell there, in the deepest way.
Since my home base is now Israel (so blessed!), and I am often on the road in various countries, I don’t get to be back at our head office in Rockville, Maryland, near Washington D.C.
But this week it worked out that I could be there and to my surprise, our reception area is now a bright, re-branded area that greets each and every guest and team member.
This upbeat wall now sets the tone for who we are and what we do. The name, the colors, the font–it clearly signifies that we are a movement that is open, inviting, inspiring and bold, all at the same time.
Let’s all take a look at our doors, our mezuzahs, and our front foyer, and the expression on our faces when we greet others. “You can’t make a second first impression.”
Good Shabbos, Shabbat Shalom,
Lori
I couldn’t believe what I was seeing and hearing– America was under attack. One of the planes had been headed to L.A. The world stopped, and so did my life.
We don’t have to be all the same, and in fact, coming together not in spite of our differences but because of our differences is what Hashem has been waiting for all along.
Since their Momentum trip, Merri and her sisters have stuck together during times of simcha and sorrow. Now, it is time for her to call on them in return.
