A Day in the Life of an Israeli MOM: Esti Weisz Guedalia

We all share a strong desire to actively participate in the ongoing war effort, regardless of our age or location. Our contributions extend beyond mere support on the home front – they involve tasks such as procuring supplies, transporting equipment, and preparing meals, among other vital roles. This incredible unity that binds us together transcends the barriers of age and geography.
During this past week, my teenagers selflessly volunteered in agriculture and on farms that were facing a shortage of workers due to the ongoing battle. At the same time, my nine-year-old actively participated in a baking-for-soldiers group that I organized. It was heartwarming to see children decorating cupcakes and writing heartfelt messages to our brave soldiers. Even my toddler grandchildren, who are currently living with me alongside their courageous mothers while their fathers are away at war, eagerly joined in by helping with frosting the cupcakes. It is truly inspiring to witness people of all ages coming together with a shared determination to contribute.
Furthermore, my dear friends from abroad have taken the initiative to unite and generously contribute funds to purchase equipment for my sons who are on the front lines. Their support and solidarity have been invaluable during these challenging times.
Together, both within Israel and abroad, the Jewish community forges an unbreakable and powerful unity. I am filled with immense gratitude for the kindness and willingness of others to be a part of the Jewish people.

It was so moving– I did not know this man; he did not know my son, but immediately he was willing to make him part of his family.
