A Week of Stories
Day and night we try to comfort those in grief, give hope to those in fear, and ask G-d to show us miracles in our time
Shalom was the warm and welcomed greeting
Lots of chaos on the plane with finding our seating
There was tangible excitement in the air
Though many we wished we were already there
On board and Twelve hours until we finally land
The journey began as a close knit band
Some teens enjoyed the trip more than others
“Are we there yet” was uttered until we had our druthers
When we arrived at 7am, the bus was no where in sight
So we made our way to the hotel and the beach felt just right
Then off to shopping and bartering at the Shuk
Large groups of women garnered quite the look
An amazing lunch at Old Man of the Sea
With more plates of salad, I’m sure you’ll agree
Then onto the bus to sing for a whirl
Bonding over New Direction’s “you don’t know you’re beautiful” girl
An inspirational talk about growth and learning
To fill a woman’s heart from yearning
How grateful we are to be on this journey
With a room full of women that offer the key
One would think that with no sleep we would be tired
But the warmth of kindred spirits left us feeling wired
Momentum is a gift for all to enjoy
Looking forward to day two, we know it will bring joy
