Dear Momentum Family—
When Momentum began, I wore every hat on every trip. I was the Trip Leader, the Bus Leader, the Community Leader. I did everything except drive the bus!
As the movement grew, it was clear that the only way to scale this was to onboard other leaders and build the professional team. Thankfully (and strategically) we were blessed to do just that. And as all of this exploded, my role shifted because more and more funding was needed in order to support the growth that was required to meet the needs of the thousands of men and women wanting to be part of Momentum.
But this week it’s throwback time, as I once again lead a trip. And what a trip it is! One bus is filled for the very first time with a special group of women: Mothers of Lone Soldiers.
As a former mother of a Lone Soldier myself, this group was the fulfillment of a dream that I had to support these special families. And now the dream has come true.
It is such a pleasure to take off my fundraising hat and put my educator one back on. I love teaching and feel blessed at the opportunity to do it once again.
(And hopefully, The Almighty will help make sure the funding comes!)
Soon it will be Shabbat— in Jerusalem, with 300 women. Feeling blessed.
Good Shabbos, Shabbat Shalom–
Lori
