If we want God to treat us with miracles, then we have to treat him with miracles. If we want God to bend nature, then we need to bend our nature. It’s natural for us to be comfortable, predictable and to take the easiest route. We have to rely, on something even deeper than our conscious mind and memory. We need to be ok with being comfortable with the uncomfortable. It’s a new way of life. This is the story of Chanukah.
