As Passover approaches, I think about the exodus of the Jewish people from Egypt, the Ukrainian people’s exodus from their country, and our own exodus from the pandemic and into the unknown.
The question I am most often asked as President of the Momentum Board is – why mothers? Why does Momentum invest, promote and support mothers? What is so special and unique about mothers? What makes someone a mother anyway?
For the first time in a long time, we needed to sit with ourselves. Our culture, which values action, achievement, movement, and progress experienced a system-wide shock. And so did we. We needed to face ourselves and our fears.
