It is Rosh Chodesh Kislev, the first of the Jewish month of Kislev, the month containing Chanukah (the 25th of Kislev), which means miracles are in the air! This past week, if you were here, you would see the miracle that Israel is opening up, and Momentum is IN!
I cannot express the joy of seeing 200 Momentum women coming off the planes, filling the buses, streaming through the streets, and tonight, filling the Kotel as we together bring in Shabbat in Jerusalem.
Our awesome tour guides tell me that not only are the women over the moon being here on Momentum, but Israelis are beyond thrilled to see tourists once again filling the hotels, restaurants, and stores.
But it’s more than that.
The Jewish people are a family. Just as we have all experienced separation from family for almost two years, separating the Jews of the Diaspora means the family is not whole. We cannot gather in the family home, and that home is Israel.
In the U.S., Thanksgiving is the most traveled long weekend of the year because Americans gather as families to give thanks, connect, and agree that this is the family home that will be filled this year with love and gratitude.
This Shabbat is Momentum’s Thanksgiving, as the women come home. And we are all filled with incredible gratitude at the miracle before us.
May we all see revealed miracles in our lives this month and always.

It was so moving– I did not know this man; he did not know my son, but immediately he was willing to make him part of his family.
