Dear Momentum Family –
Jerusalem is one big Sukkot party this week. One of the pleasures has been meeting so many Momentum/JWRP alumni who continually share that coming on the 8-day experience in Israel with us was truly “life-changing”. They are saying that while back in Israel this week with their husbands and kids, here for the holidays. But many came back to Israel and never left. I personally know of over 20 families who, inspired by their experience in Israel and the “Year of Growth” post-trip learning, have made Aliyah and now call Israel home.
Israel is not long ago or far away. It is not an unattainable dream. It is a real possibility to join a thriving and growing country at the cutting edge of innovation and technology, with spirituality and a drive to change the world for the better at its heart and soul.
To see first hand that Momentum planted seeds that led to decisions that change the course of a family for generations to come is beyond inspiring. But that does not only happen with a move to Israel for 20 families. It’s also thousands of families who decided to switch their kids to Jewish schools, or light candles on Friday night or build a Sukkah for the very first time.
Real change is happening, one Jewish decision at a time.
Good Shabbos, Shabbat Shalom, Chag Sameach!

As the small caravan approached the ancient walls, Judith shivered. The months-long journey flashed through her mind: camels, ships, horse-drawn carriages, long treks on foot, all to reach the gates of Jerusalem.
The Hebrew word for sin is chet, which comes from an old archery term that was used when an archer missed their intended target or mark. This ancient definition helps inform the Jewish view of sin, as our sages teach us: all people are essentially good, and sin is a product of our errors. We are each imperfect, and often “miss the mark.” Pick up the bow and try again.
It takes a village and a LOT of H.P. (Higher Power).
