As I sit to write today’s blog entry – this morning seems like 100 hours ago. If I am going to have this much trouble remembering this morning, how on earth will I remember how inspired I feel in a week/month/year from now? And, in case you didn’t catch that, yes, even after only one full day I feel inspired. If there’s one thing I can say – and the staff says it over and over again – TAKE NOTES. It’s not hard. Doesn’t have to be a lot – just one or two sentences a session that speaks to you.
Even now, as I write this, I’m looking back at my journal and my highlights from today. And without giving up too much, I realize that this trip gives me the opportunity to listen to some amazing people who have done amazing things. each speakers story uncovered an “ah-ha” moment for me. And even though there are over 100 people in the same room, all listening to the same person, I’m sure that “ah-ha” moment is different for everyone. They say things I think about often in my daily life back home and share stories that I can relate to, but they tell stories in a way that inspires you — making the seemingly ordinary, extraordinary and inspiring. When I listen, some things in life state to make sense/click and fit together. It’s like having puzzle pieces and the trip is here to help me put it all together. How lucky am I that I have this opportunity ???
Even after being in Tel Aviv for several days, I learned more about Tel Aviv and Israel today in a few short hours than I did in all of Hebrew school. I also met new people that I now call friends and strengthened bonds with old friends.
I look back at today’s journey and I loved every minute of it. What will tomorrow’s journey be? I can’t wait.
