No words could possibly express how I feel today, the day after walking our youngest daughter, Malkie, to the chuppah. The wedding was beyond — filled with joy, nachas, and deep emotion.
But I want to back you up 11 days.
I saw on Facebook a post of a young woman getting married whose grandmother was too elderly to come to the wedding. So a week before the wedding, she flew to visit her grandmother in her wedding dress so that she could have the pleasure of seeing her.
I sent the post to Malkie and asked, “Are you in?” She answered, “I am SO in!”
So Malkie flew up to Toronto in her wedding dress and met me. Together, we went to see my mother, who some of you know has not done well since my father’s passing and is in the hospital struggling.
I could not post the pictures until after the wedding, so I am now able to share them here. My mother said it was the happiest day of her life.
Someone said that your child’s real graduation day is their wedding day. For us, it was 11 days before.
May we share more Simchas very soon.
