Dear Momentum Family –
A recent alum posted while back in Israel that this country is the home of her people, but her home is where her family is.
I replied, “You can have both.”
Over 20 Momentum families that I know of have made Aliyah. Big move! And we don’t even speak about the possibility of it on the trips. But you can’t help but fall in love with this Land, and experiencing it in both body and soul plants seeds… and those seeds can grow now, or perhaps in the next generation coming up in your homes.
For our grandparents and great-grandparents, the idea of living in Israel was but a dream. A land far, far away from long, long ago…
But some of them also remember the miracle handed to us 72 years ago— a Jewish State established in our lifetime. And now, you don’t have to take a boat there or drain the swamps, it’s but a flight away, and has been blessed to become a leader in tech and innovation.
I recently upgraded my iPhone, and it has Face Recognition technology that unlocks it just by looking at it. Guess who invented that? Yep— Israelis. Waze, the flash drive…the list goes on and on.
Yes, moving your family to Israel is a big move. But as more than one who did it told me: “How often do you get to make a decision that will change the course of your family and your people for generations to come?”
Living the dream.
Good Shabbos, Shabbat Shalom–
Lori
This week I had some out-of-the-house meetings and had to grab two taxis. One day, two drivers, two stories that have stayed with me long after the day was done.
The word of our times is flexibility.
At Driving to Greatness, the MoMENtum Men’s Retreat in Orlando, Florida, we got real about our lives and our potential – and put ourselves in the driver’s seat. With educators Charlie Harary, Ari Shabat, and Harry Rothenberg as our guides, we tackled how to handle failures and setbacks, bounce back, and succeed the way we want to.
