The appropriate amount of pain and discomfort that takes place after a workout is actually a sign of growth. This is the pathway to success for growing muscle mass. The same goes for the soul. That’s how great people feel about being uncomfortable. If we go through things and the last three “reps” don’t kill, then we know to be concerned. Once discomfort becomes what we look for as a metric to the effort we put into our days, over time we don’t avoid being uncomfortable, we avoid being comfortable.
