This week we have 170 MoMENtum men from four countries who are here on a life-changing journey to the best part of themselves. For the very first time, we have Israeli men, some of whom are the husbands of past MOMentum Israel women. One Israeli husband told me he had no interest in coming, but went to the recruiting meeting to make his wife happy. Now he says this is one of the greatest experiences of his life.
One of the highlights was 16 bar mitzvahs on the top of Masada, along with several men who are descended from the tribe of Cohen but had never done Birkat Cohanim, the Priestly Blessing.
The emotion in the air each day is increasingly palpable, as these beautiful men let go of so much that has been holding them back to their true selves. They are thirsty for wisdom to help them be better fathers and husbands, and the meaningful brotherhood that is forming is beyond moving.
These men are bonding and sharing not over sports or business, but the deepest, most soulful life-changing ideas and values.
I am a female “fly on the wall” – what a privilege to witness such transformation!

Now I can relate to the Passover story when the Jews hesitated to go into Israel. They had built for themselves a new reality in the desert, and got… comfortable. The thought of leaving that for the unknown was too much for them. But it was time.
